Truck's Garage Gym is located just off the everyday bustle
of West 7th Street in St. Paul, Mn. There one can see
many young and upcoming pugilists practicing their trade
and displaying their emerging talents. You will also see
numerous retired and outright failed boxers performing routine maintenance around the gym. For the price of a
dollar, they will tell you all about their careers and how
they "...Coulda been a contender."
The gym itself is a former truck garage, owned by
Mighty Mac Truck, himself, but as a garage saw little
bussiness once prospective customers realized the level
of brain damage suffered by the owner and chief mechanic.
Sweat, blood, oil and toil, and occasional diesel
fumes permeate the atmosphere of Truck's Garage Gym. And
every young wannabe pugilist that enters the Gym's doors
must make his way past all the old pugs sweeping the floor,
emptying the spit buckets, and begging for spare change
while they offer to tell about their careers and how they
were "...just that close to the Big Time."
