For those who may be unaware, recently a new gym opened on South Beach, Miami. '12 Rounds to Glory' looks to make its mark in the boxing world and the local hype has been swirling around one particular pugilist. "Dyn-o-mite" Dynamo MacKenzie is a fierce, young competitor who fights in the Super-Lightweight weight class.

Hailing from Philadelphia, MacKenzie moved to Miami three years ago and dedicated himself to training. The year round training and sage advice from a local underground legend... his grandfather. MacKenzie has made a name for himself in local gyms from his intense sparring sessions. A strong, grass-roots fanbase lauds the merits of this dynamic fighter who is finally making his professional debut.

At 9:00pm on Thursday, August 11th, MacKenzie enters the ring versus Brandon Uriziquita (3-12-0). The hard-hitting slugger is no stranger to the ring and will enjoy the advantage that accompanies experience. Uriziquita's three viictories come via knockout and surely, he'll be looking to nab a fourth against this untested rookie.

MacKenzie remarked, "Every single Champion has been where I am, right now. Nobody wants to begin their career with a loss and to even contemplate stepping into that ring, you have to have confidence. Confidence in your training, confidence in your ability, and confidence in your corner."

When asked about going against an experienced fighter, MacKenzie responded, "Some may think that my opponent has the advantage in this fight. Others may think that I'm all hype. But one thing is unqestionable, I'm the unknown quantity. That's the true advantage. Sure, I've seen a few new faces around the gym lately and there's plenty of YouTube clips of my knockouts, but do you really think you know what I'm capable of? I'm not underestimating my opponent, mind you. I'm just saying that just because a guy's been in more fights, the advantage sits with him. Sometimes the intangibles are more advantageous than any 'Tale of the Tape' can show."

Who will win this bout? Your guess is as good as mine. We'll just have to wait until Thursday night to find out.
